Description
Manzanilla beach is a beach in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. It is located on the east coast of Trinidad.
The beach was named Manzanilla, meaning "Little Apples" by Spanish sailors in the 18th century .They encountered what they thought were apple trees. In fact the fruit from the trees were inedible as it contained poison.
Manzanilla beach is a lovely pristine beach lined with coconut palm trees. It's great for kids, who love playing in the sand and is the perfect beach for long walks and camping activities. Manzanilla beach is also known as a nesting beach for the leatherback turtles. The waters of the Atlantic ocean can be quite rough and with undercurrents at times.
